Note it is not possible to buy the blade wheel only. (see below)

Why should I replace the blade assembly on my Dahle trimmer?

Over time and with use the trimmer blade will wear and become blunt.

The wearing of the blade is usually so gradual that you may not notice it until the trimmer start to struggle to cut cleanly.

When the blade becomes blunt it will not cut as cleanly as it should and the edge of the cut may begin to "feather".
Greater effort will be required and this may cause the trimmer to push the paper rather than cut it.

It is also possible to damage the machine if the blade is blunt.
Common damage is caused when the blunt blade rides up over the card or paper and cuts into the clear transparent paper clamp.

We recommend that you replace the cutting head assembly as soon as you notice any of the above symptoms.

Can I replace the blade wheel only on my Dahle Trimmer?

The cutting head assembly for Dahle trimmers is supplied as a pre-moulded assembly.

Blades, or blade wheels, are not available as a seperate spare, and the cutting head assembly is not designed to be taken apart.

Please note also that the rubber wheel can also degrade with wear and time, so when you replace the cutting head you are able to restore the trimmer to perform as intended.
